Message of the Pro-VC
I am incredibly enthusiastic about the future of University of Development Alternative (UODA) and what we will achieve together in the coming decades for the university. With 40 years of personal experience in university teaching and administration, I bring a deep connection to this institution where I have dedicated 21 years of my career. I have a profound admiration for UODA's values and capabilities, particularly its commitment to accessibility and excellence, which distinguish us from others. These values are central to my own beliefs and remain unwavering. As we are unique in our identity, our history forms the bedrock of our values but will not limit our potential. Instead, it propels us toward even greater achievements and contributions to society.
I am dedicated to serving our entire university community. What sets us apart is our comprehensive approach—our capacity to tackle challenges and opportunities from every angle, our inclusiveness, our engagement across all fields of human endeavor, and our collaborations that distinguish us. Our unique blend of accessibility and excellence occupies a distinctive position in higher education. This uniqueness presents us with an opportunity to have a significant impact on society and to broaden our global influence. Why does this matter? Because navigating through complexity, which can often be messy, is where UODA excels. We aim to be the university of choice for faculty, staff, students, and alumni who seek to make a difference. This is my goal. I also reaffirm our commitment to core principles—integrity, diversity, excellence, freedom of expression, and accessibility—which guide us in fostering a cohesive community. Honorable Founder and Chairman Professor Mujib Khan, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammed Rahmatullah and our campus leadership have upheld these principles, strengthening our community. Together, we have further opportunities in this area. Currently, I am in listening mode, eager to hear the many excellent ideas my colleagues have to share. Your partnership is crucial to our ability to achieve meaningful progress that benefits our entire community and beyond. Stay tuned for more updates. Thank you.
