Master's Program (CMS)

The MSS (Preliminary & Final) Programme in Communication and Media Studies at the University of Development Alternative (UODA) is a two-year course which is fully based on extensive study of contemporary theories on various subjects in the field of Communication, Journalism and Media Studies coupled with practical work in the professional areas of the same.

 

The students having completed graduation with satisfactory result in any field of Social Sciences, Science, Arts or Business Studies are eligible to apply for admission in two-year MSS Program. The students having completed four-year (Honours) Program from any recognized university of Bangladesh or abroad in the field of Communication, Journalism or Media Studies are eligible to apply for admission in one-year final course of study at the Department of Communication and Media Studies.

 

In the M S S (Preliminary and Final Program), 24 courses are undertaken over a period of two years whereas the M.S.S (Final Program) covers 12 courses over a period of one year. The students of Preliminary Program will have to study 12 Courses more than the students of Final Program.

 

The students, who are already graduates in the disciplines of Journalism/Communication are eligible for enrolling directly into the MSS Final Program consisting of 12 courses for the period of one year.

 

Those students, who are graduates other than the aforesaid disciplines are eligible for enrolling into the MSS (Preliminary) Program consisting of 12 courses for the period of one year. After the completion of MSS (Preliminary) program, they will be eligible for enrolling into the MSS Final Program as stated above.
